Lawrence M. Yore, M.D., F.A.C.S.

 

 

Lawrence M. Yore, M.D. earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He continued his Biomedical Engineering education by earning a Master’s degree at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida before pursuing a degree in medicine.

Dr. Yore completed a Fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, the nation’s first cancer research treatment and education center.

 

Dr. Yore received his medical degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed two years of General Surgery Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, followed by a Urology Residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Yore enhanced his General Urology training with a one-year Fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Located in Buffalo, New York, Roswell Park Cancer Institute is the nation’s first cancer research treatment and education center.

 

Dr. Yore is an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Clinical Biomedical Science, Department of Surgery, and Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at FAU. Board Certified by the American Board of Urology, Lawrence M. Yore, M.D. is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.Dr. Yore was recognized by Boca Life Magazine as an outstanding physician.

 

Dr. Yore has practiced urology in South Florida since 1990. He has been on the staff at Delray Medical Center since 1991 and has served as DMC’s Chief of Surgery and Governing Board.  Dr. Yore is on the staff of Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Delray Medical Center. He is also a consultant at Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital.

An active member of the community, Dr. Yore enjoys speaking to men’s clubs, participating in hospital lecture series, and facilitating a very successful monthly Prostate Cancer Support Group at Delray Medical Center.
